FAQ's

  • What types of therapy do you offer?

Our therapists each specialize in a number of different modalities, and are all trauma-informed. Common modalities used in our practice are:

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
    • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
    • Family Based Treatment for eating disorders (FBT)
    • Somatic
    • Psychodynamic
    • Prolonged exposure
    • Emotion-focused
  • What types of insurance do you accept?

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

For other plans out-of-network, our practice can provide you a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance company. We recommend you contact your insurance company regarding reimbursement rates, as this can vary from insurance company and your selected healthcare plan.

To determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, call the number located on the back of your insurance card.

Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers. Some helpful questions you can ask them:

What are my mental health benefits?

What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

    Do I have a co-pay or co-insurance?

How much does my insurance reimburse for an out-of-network provider?

  • What are your private pay rates?

    Our rates are:

    $200/intake session (50 minutes - 1 hour)

    $175/53-60 minutes

    $150/45 minutes

Each therapist offers a limited number of sliding scale spots. Please reach out with further questions regarding availability.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that you're human, and life happens! We do not charge a fee for sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours’ notice. For late cancellations, our practice offers a three tiered system - first cancellation is waived, second cancellation is a $50 fee, and three or more cancellations is a $150 fee.

No shows are charged at a $150 rate. A no show is considered if a client does not arrive within 15 minutes to session.

  • What if I only want to be seen for ART?

For clients specifically interested in ART:

Clients are able to continue seeing their therapist while engaging in ART if they are seeking relief from trauma symptoms, which typically yield results in as little as one to two sessions. Often, clients will meet with their ART therapist briefly to resolve symptoms and then continue with their previously established therapist. Of course, ART is also available to clients who would are searching more long-term therapy.

  • I may need extra support than traditional therapy. What do we do?

This can be very common in recovery! We will work together to see what the best frequency will be for scheduling sessions (this may be more than once a week if appropriate). We will work to support you in whatever ways we can in-between sessions - sometimes this is checking in via text, phone call, or e-mail.

If you are discharging from a residential, inpatient, or PHP level of care, please note this in your inquiry so we can schedule you within 7 days.

As always, if you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911 or head to your nearest emergency room.

  • What happens if we are not a good fit?

Research shows us that the best indicator for positive outcomes in therapy isn't always the modality used - it is your connection with your therapist.

So.. no worries at all! We are happy to provide you with other referrals at any time at your request. Our top priority is making you feel comfortable, no matter who you continue therapy with!
