Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) is a therapeutic approach that incorporates various techniques to address challenging/traumatic memories. It aims to rewire the brain, reducing the impact of distressing memories. Similar to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ART involves focusing on the memory while engaging in rapid eye movements to mitigate strong negative reactions.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is widely recognized as the leading treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), providing a holistic and integrated approach to managing symptoms. It has also been successfully adapted for the treatment of other mental health conditions. DBT emphasizes core skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, which are designed to enhance self-awareness and promote healthier social interactions. The primary objective of DBT is to help individuals achieve a balance between acceptance and change, ultimately leading to a more stable and fulfilling life.

Family Based Treatment (FBT)

Family Based Treatment (FBT), also known as the Maudsley Method, is a highly effective and evidence-based approach that is widely considered the primary treatment for eating disorders in adolescents, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and other specified feeding or eating disorder (OSFED). This therapeutic approach focuses on empowering parents and guardians with the necessary tools, information, and support to actively engage in their child or teen's recovery journey.

By involving the family in the treatment process, FBT aims to not only address the symptoms of the eating disorder but also to strengthen familial relationships and create a supportive environment for the individual's long-term well-being. When applicable, FBT is utilized to equip parents and guardians with the necessary information and support to aid their child or teen in achieving complete recovery, promoting lasting positive outcomes and holistic healing for the entire family unit.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the separation of individuals from their struggles and maladaptive behaviors. By creating this distance, clients are better able to gain insight into how their difficulties may be serving to protect or benefit them, rather than solely causing harm. This perspective empowers individuals to modify their thought patterns and behaviors, ultimately allowing them to "rewrite" their life story and shape a future that aligns with their true identity, potential, and purpose, independent of their challenges. In narrative therapy, we co-create a narrative that empowers you, emphasizing the strengths, values, and unique aspects of your journey.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT therapy, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the importance of accepting life experiences without trying to change or evaluate them. This is achieved through mindfulness exercises which help individuals build a more compassionate relationship with difficult experiences. By cultivating this skill, individuals can free themselves from obsessive negative thinking, resulting in a greater sense of peace of mind and emotional healing.
