What I'm About
The foundation of therapy with me starts with authentic and empathetic curiosity to understand you and your unique challenges. After we’ve built a solid foundation of trust, then the real change starts to happen. I’m all about meeting you where you are in your healing journey, while simultaneously helping you move toward where you want to be. I’m passionate about helping people become the best version of themselves by guiding them through the exploration of their inner world – past, present, and future.
Sessions With Me
When we sit down together, I want to get to know the real you—and I’ll bring my real self too. I believe therapy works best when both of us show up with honesty, patience, and vulnerability. Clients often describe me as warm and non-judgmental, but also direct and engaged. I’ll hold space for the parts of you that may feel too heavy or hidden to share elsewhere, while also encouraging growth outside of your comfort zone. Whether you’re hoping to be heard, understood, or challenged, I aim to create a space where all of that is possible.
My Favorites
I integrate evidence-based methods like CBT and DBT with deeper explorations through psychodynamic, existential, and schema-informed therapies. Together, these support lasting growth. If it resonates with you, I may also bring a spiritual lens—exploring meaning, purpose, and the impermanence of pain.
My Expertise
I feel especially connected to working with individuals navigating behavioral & substance addictions and recovery. I approach this work with deep compassion and respect, knowing that substance use often carries layers of pain, resilience, and untold stories. I draw from evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT to build healthier coping skills, while also exploring the underlying roots of addiction through psychodynamic and schema-informed lenses. I am also experienced with 12-step programs, SMART Recovery, and Dharma Recovery, and I welcome the opportunity to weave these practices into our work in a way that feels aligned with your own journey. Recovery is not just about letting go of substances but reclaiming your voice, rewriting old patterns, and rediscovering meaning and purpose. Walking alongside clients as they find strength in their healing journey is some of the most rewarding work I do.
